Yesterday, nine of NYC’s museums opened their doors for “NY’s biggest block party”. Live bands and other entertainment were on 23 blocks (5th Avenue between 82nd & 105th) as you could hop from one free museum to the next. An opening ceremony started at 5:45 in front of Cooper Hewitt, National Design Museum on 91st and 5th Ave. The event was from 6-9 pm and was a great chance to learn something, revel in the music, release your inner kid with street chalking, or, at the very least, people stare.
