World AIDS Day was observed on December 1st, with 24 hours set aside across the globe to spread crucial awareness about the devastating pandemic, as well as to remember loved ones who have been affected by the disease. Leading AIDS support organization Aid for AIDS observed the day by hosting their annual My Hero Gala at Guastavino's last night, to raise money for services helping HIV positive individuals in Latin America and the Caribbean.
