The crowd that gathered at the Harold Pratt House on Tuesday night to celebrate the New Yorkers for Children Fall Gala was no joke, as the list of attendees could be considered better than the gold standard. This crowd of high profile designers, socialites, media moguls, PR magnates and fashion stalemates are all friends and supporters of New Yorker's for Children, a non-profit organization headed by Susan Burden and Susan Magazine that partners with the Administration for Children's Service to improve the lives of children in foster care in New York City. The festive cocktail party, sponsored by Vogue and Nordstrom, was to preview the New Yorkers for Children fall Gala taking place on September 16th.

We sipped cocktails, we mingled, we munched and we compared fashions. Everyone looked stellar because, of course, a few hours later the Whitney Contemporaries Biennial was about to commence. If this was a preview party for what is to come on September 16th, we are down.

Here were the guests of guest turning it out: Alison Aston, Campion Platt, Andre Leon Talley, Bethany Frankel, Filipa Fino, Jeffrey Kalinsky, Fredrick Anderson, Ghilsaine Absy, Ashley Verrier, Beth Rudin DeWoody, Dayssi Olarte De Kanavos, Douglas Hannant, Kate Schelter, Katie Lee Joel, Derek Blasberg, Mark Gilbertson, Melanie Frick, Amy Rosi, Debbie Bancroft, Joy Bryant, Daniel Benedict, Amy McFarland, Keith Lissner, Kelly Shugerman, Andrew Saffir, Annelise Peterson, Jamee Gregory, Farley Boyle, Fern Mallis, Gillian Miniter, Jennifer Creel, Karen Tcherevkoff, Carrie Cloud, Coralie Hermely, David Kersh, Emma Snowdon Jones, Leslie Stevens, David Gruning, Esteban Cortazar, Fabiola Beracasa, Oscar De La Renta, Susan Magazine, Susan Shin, Thakoon Panichgul, Tom Florio, Virginia Smith, Marissa Brown, Zac Posen, Zani Gugelmann, Miguelina Gambaccini, Sana Rizvi Clegg, Lauren Santo Domingo, Liz Lange, Leilani Bishop, Lydia Fenet, Nicholas Scopetta, Patrick Robinson, Peter Nordstrom, Shirin von Wulffen, Stephanie Wolcott, Susan Bergen, Sylvester Miniter, Tracy Stern, Susy Korb, Phillip Lim, Jason Wu, Jim Seuss, Donya Bommer, Heather Mnuchin, Howard Kuo, Deborah Cavanaugh, Meredith Melling Burke, Michelle Gerber Klein, and Peter Som.
