Everyone knows that the best part about going out is getting dressed up, and the attendees at the parties Guest of a Guest covers usually do this with aplomb. Here are the people (and outfits) who made an impression on us this week...-

First Place: Lauren Goodman at the Junior Spring Benefit for Lincoln Center
We knew Lauren Goodman's grey, Jetson-esque Valentino dress was going on this list the second we saw it on Monday. Not only is the short dress super flattering, it seems like the it-girl had so much fun WEARING it--she's beaming in almost every picture.

Second Place: Stylish Couple From The Launch Of Emily Giffin's The Heart Of The Matter
Yes, yes, yes to this guy's green polka-dotted scarf and green sweater, which he keeps from being too overwhelming with the hint of blue peeking out. And the girl takes the tried and true sweater dress/leggingscombo to new levels with her thigh-high black boots. Also: Her lipstick is pretty.

Third Place: Two Picks From WHO.A U. Store Opening
Oh man, this guy is awesome. He looks as though his name is Buzz and he's the captain
of the lacross team AND Junior class president. My grandmother probably dated him. In a good way.
Not everyone can pull off a one shoulder look without looking like a linebacker, but this girl does it well. We love the loose-fitting belt, and we REALLY love the gold zebra-print shoes.

Runner Up: Mad Hatters At The Nylon+Youtube Young Hollywood Party
Los Angeles isn't always the home of minidresses, blond extensions and orange tans; at times it's more hipster than Williamsburg. We think these two look casual and cute while hanging out poolside at the Roosevelt on Wednesday night. We like the hats and the neutrals, which the girl accessorized with pewter necklaces, skinny jeans and ballet shoes. Perfect, relaxed LA.

Honorable Mention: Serena Merriman's Shoes From Lincoln Center Benefit
Serena's whole outfit is lovely, but our eyes were drawn straight down to her shoes, which seemed pretty awesome. Our photographer didn't get a zoomed-in shot of them, but lucky for us, Serena provided one on Facebook. They. Are. Glorious. Golf claps for Valentino.
