SoHo Gives, the philanthropic arm of The SoHo Synagogue, held its Venetian Mask Purim Party at 1Oak Saturday night with an open vodka bar, hors d’oevres, a hip-hop themed havdalah (a Jewish ceremony marking the end of Shabbat), and jams from DJ Phresh. Hosted by the synagogue's rabbi Dovi Scheiner and his wife Esty, the event raised money for StandwithUs, an international education organization based in Los Angeles.
