The Swag T-Shirt Collection

SwagPete Townshend said it best: "Great rock and roll will live on forever. It"s bigger than our generation, more enduring than our memories. It"s a force can"t be stopped by the passage of time.""

We"re no strangers to Rock and Roll. And, lately it seems we are getting so many additions to our T-shirt collection, we will never be lacking in sufficient rock out gear. Between the Izzy Gold-designed Envirolution Tee last week, and the LOLA shirt that James Cruickshank and Emmett Shine brought me Tuesday, (during our meeting regarding their new project Fingerpaint, among other things), I am in no deficient of hip soft tees. However, when I need a new Rock and Roll shirt in the future, I have a new brand to try. The Swag T-Shirt Collection. Paris Hilton, J.Lo, Halle Berry, and Lil Wayne are a few of the celebrities that have been caught about town in these shirts that "are celebration of the look, attitude, and sound of transcendent rock and roll greats from the best decades of music."

But we like the shirts, with our without their celebrity endorsements walking around. The collection now includes Led Zeppelin, The Ramones, The Clash, and more. Contemporary graphic artists remix these original designs using a rich variety of processes-vintage distressing, screen printing, embroidery, and mixed media appliqué-to create a unique look that captures the spirit of the era.

The shirts are sold at Saks 5th Ave, Lisa Kline, and other fine retailers for $75-95 each. Hefty price for a t-shirt maybe, but they are limited edition pieces, and its a small price to pay to be able to feel connected to your favorite Rock and Rollers.
