Who are the WISE women of NYC?
The organization is a network of some the most powerful women in sports business and events in New York City working as agents, broadcasters, editors, event planners and executives. As guests of the beautiful Vanessa Adams who we had met at the Sports Illustrated Sportsman of the Year Party to Honor Michael Phelps, we headed to Women in Sports and Events(WISE) Foundation’s Holiday party at Bacchus on the Upper West Side for wine tasting and good times.

We mingled and chatted with some of the most interesting and successful movers and shakers in the sports world such as, Roxanne Jones who helped to found ESPN magazine, Gail Marquis, Silver Medalist from the 1976 Olympic Games (the first time women competed in basketball at the Olympics), and Sue Rodin, founder of Women in Sports and Events.
We seemed to be a hit at the party and made some great new friends…amongst the fifty or so women, we were two of only three men in attendance…not sure if that had anything to do with it.
