Lennon Round Frames: Who Started The Trend

As the name would imply, these round shaped sunglasses were made popular by none other than John Lennon. The Beatles member could often been seen wearing his signature frames in both shaded and non-shaded versions, and the rest of the world soon followed suit. By the late '60s, everyone from Twiggie to Elton John had adapted the trend, making it synonymous with the era. A number of our favorite films have even used the bug-eyed frames to represent and depict the fashionable time period. Who could forget Kate Hudson in "Almost Famous?"
