Last night, Autism Speaks held their inaugural young professional event at the New York Stock Exchange, an exciting setting for the sold out fundraiser, clearly a success in it's debut year. Olympian Dominique Dawes made a surprise appearance to share her family's experience with Autism, raising awareness on behalf of those living with and affected by the condition. Amidst the activity of busy screens, ticker tape and flashing lights; the well-heeled group enjoyed a flowing bar, endless hors d'oeuvres and turntable tunes; exploring the incredible venue in between snacking, socializing and having pictures taken with the gavel atop the trading floor. After this dramatic first event during a time when most charities are scrambling to sell tickets, we look forward to seeing what the host organization, the founders of which made the TIME Magazine Top 100 World's Most Influential People list, have in store for us next year. Any time Autism Speaks, we're listening.
