The restaurant that represents my 2017 eating habits the best is The Tang, a modern Chinese noodle shop serving up big, steaming bowls of carb-y heaven. I think I brought at least a dozen separate people to experience the magic there, and although I’ve tried almost everything on the menu, I always go back to the sizzling oil noodles. These noodles are thick and chewy, topped with a proprietary blend of fiery spices, doused with sizzling hot oil and finished off with some pickled cabbage and scallions. They’re craveable in every sense of the word.
