The NYC dish that isn't necessarily new, but is definitely something people often sleep on, is the Proscuitto Cotto sandwich at Caffe Lilia. Yes, I did in fact work at Lilia but regardless of how many times I’ve had it, this sandwich is something I crave regularly. Housemade focaccia, soft and creamy squaquerello cheese, prosciutto cotto, and peppery arugula.
