Supima Fashion Design Competition Be there or be square: Gotham Hall, runway show starts at 7:00pm. Event Description: This years Supima's Design Contest for Emerging Talent started with an open call held at the Thompson Hotel in SoHo last month. The runway show will showcase only the best designs, as determined by a panel of fashion experts and members of Supima. Supima is the promotional organization of the American Pima cotton growers, composed of Pima growers from the states of Arizona, California, New Mexico and Texas. Luke Boisi Memorial Benefit Be there or be square: Battery Gardens from 6:30pm-10:30pm Event Description: The Fifth Annual Luke Boisi Memorial Benefit is a unique event that celebrates the life of Luke Boisi, who tragically passed away at the age of 21. Luke was the son of Geoffrey Boisi, the founder of MENTOR/ National Mentoring Partnership. Mentoring had a great impact on his life and he spent the last few years of his life committed to helping others, through his service with AmeriCorps. The purpose of the Memorial Benefit is to celebrate Luke’s life and to introduce the event’s attendees to the powerful cause of mentoring. The evening will feature a four hour top-shelf open bar, along with a catered buffet style dinner with passed Hors D’Oeuvres and a silent auction featuring an incredible array of items including luxury vacations and hard to find items.
