How would you describe your painting process, and what's your favorite part?

My method is extremely technical, and it is a process I taught myself. Though I have a number of different styles within my work, the execution of each style involves careful precision using tape and knives. My geometric abstractions are all freehand. My photo series work follows steps – I sketch, tape and cut, color code, paint, remove tape, and repeat. Over and over and over again. The hardest part of my process is the color coding. It's like a puzzle in my brain and it is the only part of my process that can’t be replicated by anyone else.

My favorite part is the painting. It zens me out. Nothing like the stroke of my brush. And then of course, the reveal.
