No matter the weather outside, Elizabeth Sutton's Long Island City art studio is a sunny day, not a cloud in the sky. I first met Elizabeth at the New York Botanical Garden's annual Orchid Dinner where I was lucky enough to score a seat at her divinely designed table, which showed off everything from her award winning tiles (used brilliantly as placemats), to her hand painted candles and penchant for butterflies. At home in her studio, her full array of dazzling talents are on display.
Her art pieces, which can take anywhere between 40 and 400 hours to complete, take up every inch of floor and wall space, with her fashion collection, home line, and special projects peppered everywhere in between.
