We DJed at The White House... not in it, at it, as in, in its direction from a block away. That party was memorable for the moment we made a sour-pussed Zach Galifinakis belly laugh when we spilled a magnum of champagne on a DC socialite. The Hangover had just come out and a bunch of Washington Power-Soccer-Moms had been accosting him all night for pics and he was very not happy with the attention. We also promised Rashida Jones a mix tape at that party, we have yet to deliver.
We were in Rio recently DJing a party hosted by Fergie from The Black Eyed Peas. She wasn't at the top of our list of celebs we'd want to party with but she should have been, she's one of the nicest people in the business (she had a lot of respect for what we do as DJs), she was super-down to earth and accessible, whipped the crowd into a frenzy, and was very pregnant the whole time.
We'll always remember the night at Beatrice Inn that Bjork in a full Kimono and crazy headgear took over the DJ booth and played Sigur Rós off her iPod.
Oh and the night at APT when in the wee hours of morning we played Philip Glass's music from Robert Wilson's seminal avante guard theatre piece, Einstein On The Beach. We where trying to clear the room but and all the drag queens knew the choreography, and performed it impeccably, someone even had an umbrella handy.
