Boast is a legendary brand. Were you at all intimidated by taking it on in 2010? What drew you to it?
Was McEnroe afraid of Borg? Of course I was intimidated, but what a great challenge. Some days it reminds me of film editing. When you’re staring a new pile of footage late at night, you think, “How am I going to deal with this?” You make some decisions and when you review them the next morning, you start to feel less overwhelmed. I was drawn to Boast in the summer of 1983. I left for tennis camp with my nine Izod shirts, only to see the cool counselors wearing Boast. I immediately had to swap a few of my crocodiles for the leaf.
