When was the moment you decided to pursue a career in music?
I started to DJ about three years ago for the Shark Attack Sounds 4th of July party. Originally, it was a couple hundred people and Ben Watts was a friend of mine. I was just using my iPod and playlists at first, but my boyfriend was like ‘if you’re going to do it, you’ve got to do it for real.’ So I started taking classes every week and I learned on vinyl. And it kind of just went from there. I was really lucky that I started working pretty soon after and that I knew so many great people in the fashion world who started to book me on things.
