How did your past professional backgrounds lead you both to Ivory Row?
Grace: My background comes from technology and fashion. Back in 1997, I co-founded one of the earliest social media companies. Community Connect was a pioneer in social networks and, at one point, had over 23 million users in our various niche networks. In 2006, I then started up a women’s contemporary line (Grace Sun) that was sold in over 80 stores including Barneys, Neiman Marcus, and Holt Renfrew.
In some ways, Ivory Row is the perfect intersection of technology and fashion that my entire career path has been leading towards. It’s a combination of all my experiences in helping to build communities and create fashion. It’s all been a very natural transition.
