Is selling food out of a truck a typical thing in Mexico?
Luis: We have another truck that we take out to Montauk seasonally, then another that we use for events, and now a fourth one at Gansevoort Market in the Meatpacking District. But this Elizabeth Street spot was our first, the original. Everything you see here was imported from Mexico. The idea is to have our costumers leave New York for a little bit, to come to Mexico without having to leave their neighborhood.
