Cyndi Ramirez and Adam Fulton are a match made in marketing heaven. After meeting on the New York nightlife scene six years ago, the Brooklyn couple recently came together to launch The Eclective, a private network of cool kids and creatives privy to what's happening on the Downtown down low. The goal? To connect members of this community with the brands and industries they influence. From fashion and food, to art and skateboarding, this DUMBO-based biz is breaking down barriers between exclusive events and the elusive crowd that agencies actually want there. Moving away from the same circle of socialites and "tastemakers," this well-curated coterie takes in members from across the lifestyle spectrum—as long as they've got that "It" factor. Make it through their "extensive vetting process" and you can enjoy free access, perks, and a pouring-in of invites. Not bad, huh?
Since their soft launch in September, The Eclective has partnered on over 20 events, including gigs for William Okpo for Opening Ceremony, Blind Barber, Bib + Tuck, and StyleCaster. We were able to catch up with Cyndi and Adam before their next big move to talk style, social media, and shaping the scene in the city and beyond.
