Your art seems firmly rooted in the female experience. Has becoming a mother affected your process/subject matter?
Becoming a mother freed me artistically. Logistically it was the opposite and I had way less time to spend on myself and my work. But that makes one's non-baby time even more precious, and therefore probably helped me to be very discerning with my practice. If you only have an hour before your baby wakes up you're not going to use that time to piss about... you're going to search deep and try to bring something out in that time, knowing you can return to it the next day if you're lucky.
