Who Are The Assoulines? Meet The Chic First Family Of Luxury Publishing

Hailing from the Ivory Coast and Peru, Martine worked as a model before arriving in Paris and becoming a communications director, also for luxury fashion brands, including Louis Vuitton and Rochas. She and Prosper wed in 1991 (in Saint Tropez, naturally) and, bonding over their love of books, they founded Assouline in 1994. 

These days you can find her in Assouline's NYC office, managing the editorial process of her company's titles, as well as conceptualizing the brand's beloved travel series.
