NYC Halloween Thursday Night Guide

by Rachelle Hruska · October 30, 2008

I have seen Halloweeners out and about all week, but for me, the craziness starts tonight.  With so much going on, it's hard to decide what to go to and what to skip.  Many friends are asking what we're going to, what's THE party to be at, how we are planning on covering it all, etc.  So, here is my Thursday night party guide:

Go HERE for the full Halloween Party Guide.

Lydia Hearst's Masquerade Party: STRICTLY INVITE ONLY! The RSVP list has been closed so I can now announce the venue.  It will be at 1oak with an over the top pre party where MAC will be bringing dozens of makeup artists to help the VIP guests get ready at a loft in Tribeca.  This will be the party to be at tonight, with the official after party at the Eldridge. Shannon Daugherty is confirmed, along with several others. We will be there every step of the way.

Rose Bar's Art Party: STRICTLY INVITE ONLY! Nur Khan and Stella Schnabel will be presenting Rose Bar's latest works of art.  There will be special DJ's and a top guest list.  Unrelated to Halloween, this is another party to see and be seen mingling at.

Radar Magazine's Vampires & Victims Party: STRICTLY INVITE ONLY!  With the collapse of RADAR Magazine last friday, this will be one of the most talked about parties of the night.  It's at the newly opened Citrine and will be sure to be full of hip media types.  Chris and Max will be covering this for us.

Young Patrons of the Lincoln Center Fall Masquerade Gala: $300 at door.  If you don't have a ticket already, you can pay up at the door for this annual gala and get a chance to see Uma Thurman honor Zac Posen.  We have a couple of GofG spies here as well as our Olympic fencers who will be documenting this party uptown.

Escada Event at Saks: STRICTLY INVITE ONLY! Amy Sacco and Ron Frasch (president of Saks Fifth Avenue) have teamed up to honor Damiano Biella, the new Createve Director at Escada.  Duffy is set to perform, with music by Donna D'Cruz.  Benefitting Free Arts NYC, we have a couple of "guests" attending this event including the dapper Douglas Marshall.

The Children's Hope Masquerade Casino Benefit: $75.  Paul Chester's Children's Hope Foundation is hosting a Masquerade benefit (seems to be the theme of the night?), at 13 Crosby Street. Go HERE to get your tickets.

Nick Cannon/Mariah Carey Costume Party at Marquee: This may be the spot to end the evening for those of you dressed the part.
