Louie and Chan
Louie and Chan is a story of two immigrants – one of Chinese and one of Italian decent – who joined forces in the 1920s. Louie had a dream of bringing some of his Italian family recipes to the new world. Chan, no stranger to the long nights of the circus, wanted to escape prohibition with a speakeasy for his friends. And with that, Louie and Chan was born. To honor Chan, between February 1st and 13th, guests will receive chopsticks to eat their meal, their left over food will be presented in Chinese takeout containers, and fortune cookies will be presented with the check. Downstairs in Chan’s Parlor, the Lucky Double Eight cocktail made with Monkey Shoulder Whiskey ($8) will be the featured special.
