Plating Matters
I like to plate everything [all together]. A picture speaks a thousand words and something gets ingrained in our memory when we see [a tablescape]. Obviously we can smell it and we can eat it but when a meal is plated beautifully I feel like there’s a sense of gratefulness and ownership that comes from visually seeing it all laid out. It’s a part of the holiday charm.
If you have a beautiful plate that was passed down from your grandmother or great-grandmother, to be able to pull that out and place some potatoes on it I think is very heartwarming.
