Anthony Papini, an artist currently based at Brooklyn Brush Studios, has only recently moved to NYC, but his recent work shows that he has more than acclimated to the city’s food scene. This Sacramento native has caught our attention with his delectable paintings of doughnuts, cakes, and everything we love to Instagram before we eat (in a style reminiscent of Wayne Thiebaud). Two upcoming shows, Parallel Lives (Chicago) and (the aptly named) Salacious (Brooklyn), are set to feature his work. We sat down to talk to Anthony about painting in Bushwick, his current work, and the most delicious thing he’s painted.
