You’re from Sacramento and lived in San Francisco for ten years, but you’ve only just journeyed to New York – did you feel like you needed a change of art scene?
Well, I moved to New York firstly to be with the love of my life. It just so happened that the move also put me in a great place to create art. Before I moved to New York, I did not know what Bushwick was. Now that I have a studio here, I am right in the middle of this awesome art scene. I get inspiration from just walking down Troutman Street – there is always a new mural to look at. Brooklyn Brush Studios is a great place to paint, and there is an awesome community.
