Zady: Maxine Bedat and Soraya Darabi
Maxine Bedat and Soraya Darabi, Founders of Zady
What's the concept of Zady?
MB: Zady’s a destination for the conscious consumer. We’re trying to search and present products from around the world that really have a story to tell.
I love that. Any Fashion Week survival tips for us?
SD: Take naps, and if you have a dog like I do, take him to daycare.
Can you let us in on you purse essentials that you carry with you?
SD: This is my Tracy Tanner bag. We sell it on Zady. It actually is a secret - it doubles as my makeup clutch when I wear a bigger tote to work, and then I take it out at night and make it my evening bag. I’ve got some Kora face cream from Net-a-Porter. I love it. Josie Maran, I’m just like namedropping supermodels right now. Basically, makeup by supermodels is in this bag.
MB: I never leave home without my Shinola journal, always ready to take some notes. Obviously an ipad - can’t leave home without that. This is a collection [referring to her bag] that we're going to be debuting for the holiday season. It's made by Rose Phiri. It's with our partner The Bootstrap Project, our non-profit partner, and I get to get a little sneak peak of it.
