What are some of your favorite NYC hotspots?
Katz’s Deli. I like Katz’s Deli on Houston. It’s a classic old Jewish deli… hand-cut pastrami. I know that’s not very ‘disco’. I go to steakhouses in New York, I go to Peter Luger, Sparks, or what’s the one with all the pipes? Keens. I stood up too abruptly and broke some antique pipes and then left. I’m dying to try this place… I think its called Sammy’s Romanian Schmaltz house, if that puts it into perspective. Since Studio 54 is no longer in existence and its only downhill from here for the classic disco loft… in lieu of original disco, I go for original schmaltz and pastrami.
