Roman Grandinetti isn't your average DJ. A notable fixture on the club and fashion scene as DJ Manero, Grandinetti wants to take music and sound where it hasn't gone before.

Rather than simply playing music for a crowd, he wants music to be a part of every day life and art. With Sound Graffiti, a concept he invented involving small sound bites made by notable cultural influencers of all kinds (think Yoko Ono, Pharrell Williams, Serge Becker) scattered throughout NYC (like visual graffiti), and his recent showing of CNNCTD+100 at the New Museum, Grandinetti has a few more tricks up his sleeve this summer. Find out what gives this guy his spark, and what else he plans to do in the next couple of months here... [All photos via Bibi Cornejo Borthwick]
