Interview: We Talk Hair Care With Taryn Manning And Expert Stylist Beth Minardi

Awesome! So next up, you're going to be returning to "Orange is the New Black" for the 2nd season. Do you have anything else that you're working on, or that you're excited about?

I'm working on music. It's always kinda been something I love to do . It's been a rough road as far as getting my music heard. There's been a lot of highs and lows, but I am a musician to my very soul. When I'm not on set, I'm in the studio writing. I DJ, too, a lot, and I also really enjoy that. And I actually have a movie set up for right after the season ends. It's called "The Light Beneath Us." I play a young mother, which is great, because I've always been kinda small and my voice is weird, but everyone's always like "I don't think she can play a mom yet." Whatever it's fine, maybe because I look young...I hope? [Laughs] Anyway, I get to do that and it's really cool. The script's really cool. It's a lot of character development, what we'd call a "two-hander" character study. It's like a mom and a daughter codependency. Just kind of real stuff in real life and I'm excited about that.
