Does that role require as much buildup as your character on OITNB? I know you put a lot of work into developing her.
There are definitely some similarities. I'm having to put a lot of work into this one. She definitely has a couple of mental ailments. But she's not like that. On the outside, she just seems perfectly normal, like you or I. You wouldn't know that this person struggles with some serious schizophrenia, manic depression, bipolar. And that's sort of what makes the daughter feel obligated to her mom. It's truly touching and pretty epic.
