First off, you're from Minneapolis. I have to ask, my friend just moved there and he tells me everyone he meets there is married, is that true? Yes. [Laughs] I mean there is a bit of a singles scene in Minneapolis but I haven't lived there since high school so I probably wouldn't trust my opinion. So what does it mean to you, being from Minneapolis [Target HQ], to celebrate Target's 50th anniversary It's been really interesting, because my collection launches on October 21st and I've had lots of meetings in Minneapolis, which is really weird because to be honest with you, it feels like I'm home. My parents still have the house where we grew up, and I go to bed in my childhood basement surrounded by like old pictures of myself and ask my parents if I can borrow a car to go to my Target meeting, so I feel like I'm 15 again. I bet it's nice to be back, did you grow up going to Target? It's great because I did grow up going to Target. That's where my school supplies were from, that's where my Halloween costumes were from, and so I never really thought as a kid I'd have a collaboration with them and see my name in their aisles, and I will next week. Other than yours of course, are there any other collaborations you're excited for? I'm really excited about the Neiman's collaboration. Ken Downing, the creative director of Neiman Marcus is a good friend of mine. We, of course, did not talk about anything, so neither one of us knew that both of these things were happening, but I think it's really amazing, and I think that collaboration represents one of the reasons why I'm so excited to be in partnership with Target; there's just an energy there that I don't think you can find anywhere else.
