You may be wondering why this holiday season was particularly pleasurable for everyone's favorite tiny sex therapist. At Cipriani 42nd St. last night, Dr. Ruth Westheimer gave us the details.
In attendance to support the Child Mind Institute, Ruth reflected on her recent Hanukkah celebration.
"What did I do? What a question?" she said, affecting a staccato ha-ha-ha as if to say, 'wait'll l you hear this.'
She explained:
"I have four grandchildren. We went to see West Side Story, and I was a very happy grandmother, cause as you know, Hitler didn't want me to have children or grandchildren, and I have the best four grandchildren in the entire world. No body has grandchildren like me."
Ruth, who escaped from Wiesenfeld, Germany to Switzerland in 1939 certainly has a lot to be thankful for in her family, and I asked what aspects in particular inspired her grandmotherly pride.
"That they are alive and they are healthy and they are good looking."
