Can you tell me about some of the ballet-focused workouts people might take up?
There are barre classes you can take, I would do exercises standing at the barre. And that really gets every muscle in your body working, including your arms, and back, and legs. That's something anyone can do.
They can do some core exercise like planking and some bridging too for your butt muscles. A lot of dancers do yoga, pilates, and gyrotonics [It's a workout similar to pilates in a lot of ways, but in a very circular motion] as well. Any of them are compatible with ballet.
