Memoirs of a GeishaName: Memoirs of a Geisha Plot Line: In Japan, 9 year-old Chiyo Sakamoto (Zhang Ziyi) is sold into slavery and then a Geisha House. Memoirs of a Geisha tells Chiyo's stories of looking for wealth and freedom on the way to becoming one of the most famous Geishas. Our Rating: The film had to condense the 400 page book into 2 hours, but was amazingly successful, winning several Oscars, as well as awards for cinematography and costume.
