If you tried (and, most likely, failed) to get past the legendary gatekeeper of the world's most famous nightclub, now's your chance to make nice with the man himself - while enjoying some of that international techno music you missed out on.
This weekend, SOUND Tulum, an immersive art and music event held in Mexico, is debuting in New York City, bringing together some of the best techno DJs and producers from around the world. The two-night festival will also showcase SCHULD, a photography exhibit by Sven Marquardt, Berghain's notoriously tough doorman who has curated the coolest crowd in Berlin for years. Turns out his eye for style doesn't only apply to would-be guests waiting in line; he's also quite the established photographer.
Founded by Andrea Patti, brought to New York in partnership with Jeffrey Jah, and co-hosted by Italian supermodel Mariacarla Boscono, the event is sure to be a cool kid must, especially if you can't jet off to Tulum (or Berlin) anytime soon.
