Knave, at Le Parker Meridien, was abuzz last night with Islanders and Summer-Afficionados, who gathered at The Nantucket Conservation Foundation’s MidWinter Cocktail Party. NCF President David Poor, treated the crowd to a round of classic island anecdotes and NCF Director Jim Lentowski gave an update on the Foundation’s projects, goals and mission for the upcoming year.

The Nantucket Conservation Associates is a group of dedicated young adult volunteers, aged 21-40, who assist in the Foundation's mission of preserving and protecting the Island's open spaces and natural habitats. The Associates strive to encourage an appreciation of Nantucket's fragile environment by providing educational opportunities for children, increasing participation in Foundation activities by young families and sponsoring fund raising events. Upcoming Associate Events, Functions and Fundraisers include The Vault Cocktail Party (April, Boston), and the Race For Open Space 5k (July, Nantucket).
