    EMM Group eyes new Bowery location, Kim Jong-il drops some bass with the hottest DJs,  Shake Shack comes to Brooklyn, a "mommy friendly" bar opens up at Whole Foods, and so much more in today's Nightlife News Round up!

    1. EMM Group who is behind Tenjune and SL is looking to open a drinking establishment at 199 Bowery. The group who previously denied reports of their venture, is expected to appear before Community Board 3 in January in order to obtain and on-premise liquor license. [Eater]

    2. Harlem icon and jazz favorite Lenox Lounge, is going on the market in February. Word is that there are many interested buyers including Marcus Samuelsson the owner of Red Rooster. Another interested buyer is Lawrence Page the owner of the Pink Tea Cup and soon to open wine bar Auberge Laurent saying:

    "I want it to be my next space and compete against Marcus Samuelsson. I want to keep the name and the flavor but have a mixologist there creating more than 100 fantastic drinks."

    The venue will go for about $20,500 a month.[Eater]

    4. The Shake Shack opened up in Brooklyn yesterday at the edge of the Fulton Mall. It marks the franchise's seventh location and Brooklyn's first. Hipsters rejoice. [HuffPost]

    5. A new bar opened up at the Whole Foods in the Time Warner Center offering cheap beer and inexpensive food. The bar, called On Tap, is also "mommy friendly" as it was packed with strollers over the weekend. No judgement. [WestSideRag]

    6. Patricia Field held a holiday trunk show on Monday at her headquarters in Bowery. Amanda Lepore played Mrs. Clause and Cherie Lily performed. Other guests in attendance included downtown legend Johnny Dynell and Ladyfag. [Paper]

    7. Blue Bottle who this past summer said that they would be opening a cafe in Rockerfeller Center, reveals that the cafe won't be open till much later this winter. Another Blue Bottle location will also open in the Milk Building across from the Chelsea Market. [Eater]

    8. New hip bar and restaurant Nights & Weekends is now serving brunch. The menu includes baked eggs, chorizo sliders, a roast pork sandwich, waffles, and cinnamon toast. New Williamsburg restaurant Allswell, also launched a brunch menu last week. [Eater]

    9. The recently shut down Sunburnt Cow is hoping to re-open by New Year's Eve. A rep for the bar says:

    "We are working with the authorities to bring about a swift and just resolution to this issue and want to reiterate that we had no prior knowledge of illegal drug activity on our premises. We do not and will not condone, endorse or tolerate such behavior at any of our establishments."

    The bar was shut down last week for criminal sale and possession of marijuana. [EVGrieve]
