We once had high hopes for Charlotte Bocly. The Park Avenue Princess who turned heads at The Observer with a profile that just seemed to show too enviable an existence to be true. Cold called by modeling agents, stopped by Matt Dillon on the street. Okay. A stint in a spa-like rehab at the age of 19 after a bender of too many fun nights. We get it Serena van der Woodsen. Like, she went to school with Osama Bin Laden's nieces.
With familial roots covered in oil money - we're talking a grandmother who gave enough Greek and Roman art to fill two galleries at The Met - we suppose her life actually was colored by an all too wealthy sheen, something us plebeians can't even imagine. But alas, despite all that, Charlotte has managed to slip into unreported obscurity. Shame.
