The global hospitality community has never seen anything like what has occurred over the past week. The mandated shut downs and social distancing has forced us to close our doors, which cuts to the heart of what we love to do. And in this moment, it is those who serve our guests and local community day in and day out that are most affected by this unprecedented crisis - our employees. ⠀ ⠀ The closure of our hotels means that a vast majority of our staff are without a paycheck - many you know, many unseen, and many in need of support.⠀ ⠀ Today, we are announcing The Standard Stands Together Relief Fund, seeded by the leadership team at The Standard who are now opening it to our extended Standard family to help reach our goal. 100% of the proceeds will be used for the benefit and support of team members who have lost jobs due to the effect of COVID-19 and are struggling to maintain basic human needs including health care, medicine, groceries, diapers, and shelter.
