Heralded as one of the most romantic places in the world, the Empire State Building is the hot spot for couples so sickeningly sweet you'll catch diabetes being in a 12-foot radius of them. No offense to Chuck and Blair, but it's difficult to see how one of the top destinations for tourists can exude romance. Who wants a marriage proposal surrounded by toddlers tethered to their mothers on child leashes and overzealous travelers who are shoving you out of their way so they can get the perfect picture to post on their Facebook feed?
