Enter the Race through A Charity
Getting into the New York Marathon can be tricky. Names are drawn from a lottery, but if you enter through a charity, you can get a number by fundraising for the organization. I was able to enter through the Lower East Side Girls Club, a charity devoted to providing innovative, community-based holistic programs and services for girls and young women to help them become independent young leaders.
