Lunar New Year festivities are kicking off this weekend across the city, but if you want to find yourself at the heart of a truly vibrant community celebration, head to the Lower East Side's Sara D. Roosevelt Park on Sunday to experience the 25th Annual Lunar New Year Firecracker Ceremony & Cultural Festival. To welcome the Year of the Rabbit, the Better Chinatown Society will be lighting thousands of firecrackers while presenting traditional lion dance performances, giveaways, and more.
