NYC: Russ & Daughters
We are not about to go all hunter/gatherer in the name of searching for some sentimental dream, so we figure Russ and Daughters is an epochal replacement to the once lusted for berries and meat slabs. Opening its doors since good ol’ 1914 and passing through four Russ family generations, the salmon is cured with the old days and the fish is smoked with times gone by. A true taste of old New York, down to the last bite of bialy, if this doesn’t satisfy your thirst for bygone eras, we are sure there is a McDonald’s lurking around the corner.
