Many of our date nights are a bit last minute because of uncertainty over my schedule or who is going to watch the kids, so we are lucky that our stomping grounds of Clinton Hill (and the surrounding neighborhoods) have such great options. We’ll usually grab a bite first, and one of our new favorites is Olmsted. It is perfect for a date night - pre-dinner drinks in the beautiful, lush garden in the back, followed by one of the best and brightest menus I have seen in a while. Also, they have a wine list jam packed with interesting international all stars, all at great prices. Then we will head down to BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music), which is a walk away and features a range from old school classics to avant garde music, film, dance, and theater. There is such a wealth of incredible artistry happening there that we are a little spoiled. On the way home we might grab an ice cream from Ample Hills, or if we are feeling a little cheeky we’ll grab a bottle of wine from Leon and Sons. Mission “Date Night” complete!
