Arte Salon's Jeremy McNeal
Who: Jeremy McNeal, stylist at Arté Salon Favorite style for spring: I really love a natural look with soft waves and long layers. I think it works best when the length is just hitting the collarbone, but this style will work for longer hair as well. How to recreate this look: Start with a light hold mousse for volume, and work it into towel dried hair. I prefer Kerastase Mousse Substantive. Blow dry with your head flipped over to create volume at the root. When the hair is dry, decide where you want your part. I prefer center, but a side part will work also. Then take a 1½ to 2 inch barrel curling iron and curl the hair away from the face in sections no more than 2 inches wide, leaving the ends out. When you've finished curling, gently comb through the curls using your fingers. Apply a small amount of a lightweight styling cream to the ends to separate the curls and add texture. Lavender cream by Kusco Murphy is my favorite. Who this works well on: This style works best with straight or wavy hair, with a fine to medium texture. [Photo via]
