Conquering the Hudson
If the polar plunging is too much for you, there is still room to enjoy some water fun before the fall is over. At the Manhattan Kayaking Company you can learn to paddle your way right to the Statue of Liberty. Through
classes offered every day,
top whitewater freestylers and country circumnavigators can teach you the basics and tricks to get you on your way to cruising along the Hudson.
The company offers numerous excursions, including sunset, Alpine,
GWB and even dining tours (sushi anyone?), stopping at different Manhattan spots along the cruises (tours vary in time; some are at least a few hours). Private sessions, stand-up
paddle boarding and
liquid yoga are also offered for all levels.
Whether you've come for a thrill, seek New York sites or want to unwind on a paddle board, the Hudson River is your palace.
