This Charming New Market Is The Chicest Place To Buy Groceries In New York

We'll admit, we've flocked to plenty of pop-ups for the 'gram in our day, but up until now none of them have involved fresh produce. Leave it to It-Cafe Maman and old school New York grocery chain Balducci's to change that.

For the next few weeks, Grace's Marketplace (named for Grandma Balducci) has taken over the Marché Maman retail space in Soho, transforming it into a rustic grocer's you'd be more likely to find on a little street in Italy or France. The painfully charming shop boasts a ceiling full of hanging baskets, shelves of dried pastas, olive oils, and specialty ingredients, along with an impressive selection of hard-to-find fruits and veggies imported - mostly from California - at the perfect stage of ripeness. 

If you can't actually be in Europe, you can at least go to the market like you are. Throw on a sundress, don your biggest hat, and prepare to fill your chicest straw bag with yellow donut peaches, white cucumbers, blueberry grapes, baby pineapples, and, of course, plenty of bread and cheese. The calories don't count when you're (pretending to be) on holiday.
