Opened: 2007 CEO/Founder: Cryris Massoumi, an ex-McKinsey Consultant Employees: 350 The office: When ZocDoc opened, they visited the Zappos office for cultural inspiration, but took their office space to new heights. Their new property (once occupied by Scholastic), has a child-like atmosphere. They're building-mates with Foursquare and Thrillist, so they had large shoes to fill. The game room has a vintage Street Fighter game and the walls are adorned with super hero murals. Don't miss the photograph of the interns spelling out ZocDoc with their bodies. Future: As the government continues to encourage the medical field to go digital, ZocDoc intends to stay on the cutting edge of healthcare tech. In 2009, they opened branches in San Francisco and Washington D.C., which helped them land $15 million dollars in investment funding. Wise Words: "Its all about great people. You have to over-invest in recruiting. I spend a lot of time interviewing people, literally half my day." "I have this belief that if you have talented people, focus, and time, you are going to figure it out."-Cryris Massoumi [Photos via]
